Good morning! I'm back with more hot foiling! I recently acquired a Glimmer Hot Foil machine, and as I've begun to dabble in hot foiling, well...let's just say I kind of LOVE it! So I was super excited to be invited to work with some of the gorgeous Yana's Blooming Birthday Collection from Spellbinders. SOOO gorgeous, fun, and easy to use! Hot foil is a bit tricky to capture in photos - but I've done my best below to give you a peek at how stunning it is in person!
I had lots of fun playing with foiling on different colors of cardstock with this collection - there is something so classic about navy and gold - especially with that little pop of red!
For this card, I hot foiled the Glimmering Peony in gold on some navy cardstock, trimmed the panel down, then split it right in half - adhering half to the top and half to the bottom of my white cardfront - with foam adhesive for dimension of course!
I added the sentiment from Yana's Special Sentiments, hot foiled on white, then die cut with the coordinating dies - I made this overlap the top panel, adding foam under the bottom, and a touch of liquid glue where it overlaps the top panel. Finished off by adding the supporting sentiment from the same set, hot foiled on red cardstock, and trimmed into a thin strip. I adhered that with foam adhesive to keep everything at the same level.
