Good morning! I'm super excited today to be joining Spellbinders in a party all day to celebrate their 20th birthday! Happy Birthday Spellbinders! I have two cards to share today as part of the celebration - both using items from a brand new release available today as well!
First up, I have this bright and clean card using the adorable new Balloon Party Animal die. I actually die cut this from white cardstock, and then randomly decided to blend some leftover ink from my aqua blending brush. It was the perfect amount, and I love the finished color! I layered it together with some foam adhesive between the second layers.
I used a small oval, die cut from Essential Ovals Etched Dies using Barely Peach cardstock, and used that as a base for the cute critter, also adding some jute string for it to float away on.
Sentiment is from one of my favorites - Mini Everyday Sentiments hot foil and die set. To add some interest to the background, I also added some score lines with my score board, before mounting everything on that background.
I used a cardbase created with Waterfall cardstock, and tucked that string underneath to anchor it down, then finished off with a few coordinating Peach Fuzz jewels from Pinkfresh.
Next up is a card using the new super fun So Many Candles hot foil plate! I thought it would be adorable done in rainbow foil!
Once it was foiled, I trimmed off part of the design to make it a different width. I was going to use it on a vertical card originally, but decided I liked it on this horizontal design.
I added a sentiment from Essential Glimmer Sentiments, and then die cut some florals using Be Bold Blooms and white cardstock. I love the soft neutral texture it gives, without complicating the design - it really just lets the rainbow candles shine!
The sentiment was trimmed into a banner shape by hand, and then I used foam adhesive between different layers to adhere it all together!
