Today I'm sharing a shaker card using some new items from the release - and I love the color combo in warm pink tones!

I started off by die cutting The Nativity die from a panel of white cardstock to create a window - and saved the detailed die cut as well. I also cut it from a small piece of Honey Gold cardstock. I layered together the two detail pieces to make them a little more stable and sturdy - as well as dimensional. I created my shaker window, and filled it with some of the stunning new Mulled Wine embellishment mix, then for a soft background, I used a piece of pink vellum from Studio Light - you could also ink blend, but I love the softness of vellum as well! I adhered the detail layer inside the window, adhering with tiny dots of liquid glue. The sentiment is from the Peacebird set, stamped in Nocturne ink, then heat embossed with clear embossing powder for a bold image with a bit of shine. The finishing touch was a tiny bow made from Lawn Fawn white twine! Here is a closer look at this finished card:

  33. This new nativity die is the foundation for stunning cards. I love that by changing the cardstock colors totally changes the card, so it would be wonderful to mass produce for Christmas cards & even tags. I love it when I can use a product over & over and not get bored or have every card look the same, some as shakers, some not. Your card is beautiful and demonstrated how an elegant card could be achieved using just one color cardstock as a background while letting the gold & white be the showstoppers.
