Warm Wishes Deer Duo - Simon Says Stamp

Hello! I've got a fun shaker card to share using a mix of items from a couple of recent Simon Says Stamp releases! I love the combination of different dies and embossing folders, and how they all came together to create one wintery card!

This card actually started with the adorable deer from Fawn Surprise. I first die cut the deer from kraft cardstock with the coordinating die, then ran through the embossing folder to add the texture. I grabbed a tiny ink blender and some Cappuccino ink to blend around the edges for some texture. I also added some detail with a white gel pen, and a fine line black Sharpie for the eyes. It's not perfect - and I see all the flaws, but I still think they are pretty cute! Next, I created the shaker element using the negative space from Chunky A2 Scallop Rectangles, backing it with a panel of Color Blend cardstock embossed with the Dazzle Snowflakes embossing folder. I used one from the pastel pack (which I realized when writing up this post is discontinued) - but there are so many lovely options in different packs! Or you could ink blend your own background in whatever colors you wished. Anyway - back to the card! I filled my shaker with Starbright embellishment mix, and added a fun border on the corners with a mix of Bubblegum and Dusk Dazzling gems to coordinate with the background color. Sentiment is Warm Wishes Medley Script, die cut from Honey Gold and Ivory Glitter cardstock. Added a little secondary sentiment underneath from EZ Strips Just Sayin' Sentiment Strips to finish it off! Here are more photos of this finished card:
