Good morning! Today I'm sharing an almost one layer card, using a couple of fun sets from recent Simon Says Stamp releases - and a monochromatic color scheme that is super fun and wintery!
I actually used a panel I had created earlier and never used, with a rainbow watercolor gradient in a diagonal pattern on a panel of watercolor paper. I had used Altenew watercolors, and brushed on from lightest to gradually deeper color. Since it was already nice and dry, I was able to start stamping right away! I used the adorable snowman from Wrapped in Scarves, and while it had lots of adorable sentiments, I chose instead to grab a sentiment from the Stacked Holiday Sentiments set. I wanted to add some black splatter, and had learned a trick from someone else once - I set the clear stamp down over the top of the stamped images as a perfect and easy mask, and then added the black splatter. Then I could lift the stamp off and clean it right away with no issues, and my stamped sentiment and image were not covered with black splatter! Once that dried, I mounted it in one corner of a cardbase created with Sea Glass cardstock, and then added some sparkly Nuvo glitter drops on parts of the scarf, hat, and garland!
