Good morning! Just popping in with a card for this weeks Unity Friends with Flair:

Also linking this up with this week's Simon Says Monday Challenge - Go Bold:

For this card I used the most recent August Kit of the Month and some pattern paper from Basic Grey. I cut a panel for the front using my newly acquired Pretty Pink Posh Borders 1 Die (LOVE!) and added a bit of Wink of Stella over my image. Finished off with a bit of washi tape on the bottom, some enamel dots, some 4mm Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins, and a wood veneer feather with some gold thread tied onto it.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!!!

MCS Stamp Release Party Day 5

Good morning! Welcome to the 5th and final day of a week of sneak peeks for the new release at My Craft Spot!!! Today I played with the super fun new Wheelbarrow Die set, as well as the Fall Border metal die set, and Fall Leaves Stamp set:

I built my scene on a panel cut with Scrapping Life metal dies - cut each piece out - the swirls I cut out of felt for extra texture! I layered everything on with foam adhesive to assemble it. Pattern paper is from Basic Grey, and I used Fancy Edges Metal Dies 2 to cut that fun pinked border. Added some Natural Jute String wrapped and tied to finish it all off!

Now the fun part! Kimberly is giving away something fun each day this week for comments left on the My Craft Spot blog - here is today's giveaway:

MCS Stamp Release Party Day 4

Good morning! Welcome to Day 4 of a week of sneak peeks for the new release at My Craft Spot!!! Today I made a sweet and simple card with the new Chalkboard Sentiments - Fall stamp set:

For this card, I first made an gradient color wash on watercolor paper - making it darker at the top, and fading it with a little extra water at the bottom. Once that dried, I stamped my sentiment over the top, then filled in the empty places on the letters with a white gel pen. I thought it added just the right amount of interest to a simple card! Finished off with a bit of Natural Jute String tied in a wispy bow.

Winnie and Walter new release WINNER!!!

{{{If you're looking for the My Craft Spot Day 3 Release Post, click HERE or scroll down to the last post!}}}

Good morning! Excited to stop by this morning and announce the winner from the Winnie and Walter new release hop last weekend - but first, I have another card with one of the new sets to share:

I made this to link up with the current Curtain Call inspiration challenge:

I used the newly released A Tree For All Seasons stamp set for my card - used MFT ink to build the tree, and distressed the edge of my panel with my Tim Holtz distress tool and distress ink. Added some jute twine tied in a loose bow to finish it off before mounting with foam adhesive on a kraft card base.

And...thanks to Random.org, we have a winner!
Which means the winner is...

Congrats Nan!!! Please send me an email at housesbuiltofcards@gmail.com when you get a chance with your stamp choice from the new release and mailing info so I can forward that on to Winnie and Walter!

Thanks for everyone who visited and left comments during the blog hop! I enjoyed and read each and every one!

Have a wonderful day!!!

MCS Stamp Release Party Day 3

Good morning! Welcome to Day 3 of a week of sneak peeks for the new release at My Craft Spot!!! Continuing on today with another wonderful fall stamp set, this time made to coordinate with the assorted banner metal dies. It is called Banner Sentiments - Fall:

For my card today I also used a couple of the metal die sets - the Fancy Edges Halloween and Fall Border sets I shared peeks with on Monday, and also the Wheelbarrow Die set. I painted swatches of color on watercolor paper, then cut each of my elements out to create my front panel. Added my sentiment from the new Banner Sentiments - Fall on the Straight Ribbon Banner Die which I attached with some criss-crossed staples, then added some sequins from the Metallic Sequin blend. I tucked a little strip of orange pattern paper and some gold washi tape on the side under my front panel to pull everything together.

Winnie and Walter Leading Lady Wrap Up and WINNER!

{{{If you're looking for the My Craft Spot Day 2 Release Post, click HERE or scroll down to the last post!}}}

Good morning! Meant to post this yesterday - but we spent the weekend painting and I kind of lost track of the days! (Painting you ask? Well, it is called LABOR Day weekend, right? I know...I know...but the house needed painting - and we got the master bedroom, office, and other two bedrooms done - which was a big accomplishment, so I'm happy!)

Anyway - I have one more Winnie and Walter card that I wanted to share - to say THANK YOU for all the sweet comments you left this month! I truly had a wonderful time, and read each and every comment!

This is a completely one layer card! I used a kraft card base, and stamped my sentiment from The Big, the Bold, and the Blessings with deep brown MFT ink. Added the pretty leaves from The Big, the Bold and the Seasons in white and kraft MFT inks.

And now...the winner of the $30 Winnie and Walter gift certificate! I used Random.org to help me, and the winner is:

Big congrats Jean!!! When you get a chance, please send me an email at housesbuiltofcards@gmail.com with your contact info and I will forward that to Winnie and Walter!

Again - thank you everyone for the sweet comments left throughout the month! I'm so grateful for all of you!!!

MCS Stamp Release Party Day 2

Good morning! Welcome to Day 2 of a week of sneak peeks for the new release at My Craft Spot!!! Continuing on today with another wonderful fall stamp set called Fall Leaves:

This set has some beautiful sentiments - I picked one and embossed it in white on some vellum. Added a torn edge, another layer of vellum with a torn edge, then machine stitched it onto some pattern paper from Basic Grey and Pebbles. Added some sequins from Chocolate Sundae sequin mix, and some Natural Jute String wrapped into a bow, and finished off by rounding one corner of my card.
