Scandinavian Sweater Trio - Simon Says Stamp Sending Cheer Release

Good morning! I'm popping in with more fun using the BRAND NEW Simon Says Stamp Sending Cheer Release - this set of cards uses some of my favorite things from the release, including a fun two layer stencil that was designed by my daughter! I based my color palette around some of the yummy new cardstock colors as well!

I used the fun new Scandi Sweater stencil to create these cards, using pairs of ink to coordinate with the new cardstock colors of Tiger Lily, Moss, and Espresso. The ink colors I used were Rhubarb and Apple, Cabbage and Artichoke, and Cookie and Gingerbread. Once those were done, I die cut them with a Nested Stitched Rectangle die, wrapped some white twine around to tie in a bow, then mounted them with foam adhesive on the colored backgrounds. I used the same cardstock colors to cut out the new Holiday Wishes sentiment die, adding white cardstock for the shadow layer and adhering with the new Rainbow Splash glue pen, then adding those with foam adhesive. The final touch was a few coordinating tiny Dazzling Gems for sparkle in the coordinating colors of Bubblegum, Sprout, and Gold! Here is a closer look at the finished cards:

Stripes and Acorns - Simon Says Stamp Sending Cheer Release

Hello! I'm popping in to share my first card using the BRAND NEW Simon Says Stamp Sending Cheer Release! It has so many fun things in it - and one of the things I'm particularly excited about is some gorgeous new shades of colored cardstock! I've been using them like crazy, and having so much fun with them! I used a few of them on this card, and I love how they work so well together, paired up with one older favorite!

I started off by paired two of the new colors of cardstock - Tiger Lily and Moss - with a favorite previously released color - Honey - and trimmed them into thin strips, adhering at an angle on a white cardbase, and clustering each group of 3 slightly closer, with a tiny bit of extra space between each color. I added a frame around that using the previously released A2 Frames die cut from Honey Gold cardstock. Next, I used one more new cardstock color - Espresso - to cut the new Acorn Silhouette die. I love that yummy shade of brown, it's just warm and cozy, and perfect for this silhouette image! I added that over top with black foam adhesive, since it was a bit less visible when looking at this card at an angle. Sentiment is following the angles, and stamped from the new Winter Woodlands set, and a couple little rows of Clear Dazzling gems as well as a white twine bow are the perfect little finishing touches! Here is a closer look at the finished card:

Happy Stars - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Today I've got a bright and happy birthday card to share, using some newer sets from the last release at Simon Says Stamp - we are only days away from the NEXT release, and I'm super excited to start sharing those projects with you! In the meantime, I had lots of fun creating this birthday card, with a set designed for the holidays - love when you can stretch your supplies further!

I started off by stamping the pretty star from the Rainbow Splash Glad Tidings set a couple times each in Citrine, Pucker, and Ocean inks, then die cutting with the coordinating die. I added some Black Splatter to a cardbase, then added the stars with foam adhesive to the card front. I added the Opulent Happy die cut from Altenew Moonstone glitter cardstock and vellum, as well as a secondary sentiment from Reverse Happy Everything EZ Strips sentiment set. Finished off with a few Dazzling Clear Gems, and rounded off two corners for interest! Here is a closer look at the finished card:

Drifting By to Say Happy Birthday

Good morning! I thought I'd pop in today and share the birthday card I created for my daughter's birthday a little over a week ago. Those are always the ones I try to make extra special, and to fit some of their favorite things. I had grabbed a fun Pinkfresh set from Simon Says Stamp quite some time ago, and hadn't had a chance to use it yet. And it felt like the perfect fit for her!

This card was super fun to put together! I stamped and heat embossed the one piece stamp image from Pinkfresh's Message in a Bottle, and colored it in with the coordinating coloring stencils using Buttercream, Latte, Cappuccino, Paprika, Marine, and Cadette inks. I also blended some Zest and Cheeky inks on my white cardbase to create a bit of glow in the sky. I used SSS Yarn Tangle embossing folder on some Gina K Cadet Blue cardstock - I love how it works for a nautical theme as well! I then tore the edges to layer up to create the waves effect, and added a frame cut with SSS Stitched Rectangles from Gina K Sweet Corn cardstock. I tucked the bottles in, using bits of foam to hold them in place, and stamped a sentiment by masking part of the sentiment on the Pinkfresh stamp set, then adding sentiments from SSS Birthday Basics set. Finished off with a few Trinity Stamps Bubble Blow out embellishments! Here are more photos of the finished card:

Birthday Layered Snowflake Cards - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Stopping by this morning to share a couple winter birthday cards I created using a few items from the last Simon Says Stamp release - we are already gearing up for another one, and there are lots of items I hadn't had a chance to create with. So I'm trying to shrink that pile just a bit! I love how sparkly and dainty these cards turned out!

I actually started off die cutting the Frozen Fractal Hope die from Island Blue and Peacock Teal cardstocks. I was trying to decide how I wanted to use them on a card, when I spotted the Stained Glass Snowflake set, and realized they would be fun to layer together! I die cut that from Altenew Moonstone glitter paper, and then used just one of the Stained Glass Snowflake stencils to ink blend the background with coordinating inks in Tidepool and Marine, but leaving the intricate sections empty to help them pop! I layered everything together, then added sentiments from the Golden Sunflower set (crazy to mix snowflakes with a sunflower set, right?!?) - and finished off with a few coordinating Dazzling Gems in Surf and Dusk! Here is a closer look at these sparkly winter birthday cards:

Party Balloons - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Whew...September was fun, but what a busy whirlwind of a month! As we roll into October, I realized I have a card I created with the release from Simon Says Stamp at the beginning of last month, and haven't had enough time to catch my breath and get it posted. You can never have too many birthday cards, and this one is a bold and bright color combo with a bit of sparkly glitter for fun!

I started off with a partial cut of the largest Stitched Circles dies from Gina K Sweet Corn cardstock as a focal point on my white cardbase, and rounded off one corner of the cardbase. I then die cut and assembled the Party Balloons die using Black cardstock and Gina K Petunia cardstock. I added that onto my card, along with a plain die cut XL EZ Strips Banners, a heat embossed sentiment from Sunflower Dance, and a few Clear Dazzling Gems. I layered on a good coat of Glossy Accents on the balloons, then sprinkled with a heavy dose of Chunky Rock Candy glitter to finish off! Here are more photos of the finished card:
