Love Never Ends - Simon Says Stamp February Card Kit

Hello! I'm popping in to share my first cards created with the BRAND NEW February Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Love Always! So perfect for Valentine's, Anniversary, or just because I love you cards - this kit has a great vintage feel that is so fun! The included Love Always stamp set is gorgeous, and there is a large Rose Lattice Background Stamp set as well! Some SSS Clear Embossing powder, Unicorn Dust Glitter (doesn't that NAME just sound fun?!?!?), and some beautiful Authentique pattern paper are just a few of the fun bits and pieces to this kit!

I have two cards to share today using the items found in the new kit - first up, this classic combination of kraft, black, and white - with just the tiniest pop of red!

For this card, I first stamped the gorgeous floral heart image from the Love Always stamp set on a panel of kraft cardstock to create a background, I filled in some little hearts to fill in the empty spaces. Then I stamped the heart one more time in black pigment ink and heat embossed with the clear embossing powder before fussy cutting the image out and popping it with foam adhesive on the top center heart on my card front.

I added a sentiment from the stamp set on a small square of white cardstock, added a tiny bit of the red floss from the kit, and then matted it with white cardstock before mounting on one of the pre-scored black cardbases in the kit.

Here you can see how the bit of embossing on the popped up heart adds a fun bit of shine and makes it stand out even more!

Next up, oddly enough I think this super clean and simple card is one of my favorites that I created from this kit - and it was SOOO super simple and easy to put together!

I started off by trimming some of the elements from one of the pieces of pattern paper. These made perfect focal points for my card!

Next, I stamped one of the lovely large sentiments from the Love Always Stamp set on my white card front, and mounted the pattern paper panels with foam adhesive over the top.

Finally, I stamped one additional sentiment on a thin strip of white cardstock and mounted that with foam over the bottom of the larger sentiment. Such a small and simple finishing touch, but added the perfect touch of dimension and interest! Do you see how all the elements sort of form a rough heart on the card front? Love that it reinforces the message of the card!
