Good morning! I'm dropping by to share another card using the NEW Cozy Hugs release from Simon Says Stamp! I've paired a new die from the release, with a couple of older ones. I always love when I can put things together and use a bit of old and a bit of new!
The centerpiece of this card is the darling Acorn House wafer die - I intentionally left off the little door that turns it into a house. I wanted to focus on just the acorn itself as a focal point to this card. I love that the design of the die allows that! I die cut it from white cardstock, then ink blended a bit of Latte ink on the top of the bottom half of the acorn, and some Cappuccino ink on the top of the top portion of the acorn. I just wanted a hint of color to help everything pop.
Next, I die cut some Ivory cardstock using Detail Petal Plate, then trimmed it down a bit to mount on my white cardbase. I absolutely love using neutrals together - I think it makes a card look so elegant! I Added the acorn with foam adhesive - using two layers for the top of the acorn so there was some variation on the layers to allow for dimension and shadows.
I added a good splatter of gold using my Starry Colors palette, then added my sentiment. The sentiment was die cut with the previously released Autumn Blessings die from gold cardstock to add more of that lovely gold accent. I also tied some gold thread to the top of the acorn, holding that in place with a touch of liquid glue behind the bow. Finished off with a few sparkly Metallic Gold Pearls for the final gold accent to this card!
