Today I'm sharing a fun snowflake card, but adding some plaid, gold foiling, and subtle glitter for a more stepped up and elegant card!

I featured the beautiful new Sparkling Snowflake Frame and Trio wafer die on this card - die cut from subtle Champagne Glitter cardstock. It's just barely ivory, so it sparkles, but in a slightly understated way that was just perfect for this card. I die cut the extra trio of snowflakes as well, and used them on a card I shared a couple days ago (you can scroll to the bottom to see that card as well!)

If you know me, you know I love a good pattern paper. And this pattern paper from the Pinkfresh Happy Holidays 6x6 paper pad was just the perfect backdrop for this card.

I chose a sentiment from the Bold Christmas Acetate Sentiment Strips - I added foil to them using Deco Foil, and my Pinkfresh Solid Hot Foil Plate. If you want to see how to do that, you can check out this video HERE that I created a while back showing this technique. These sheets are toner based, so normally you would use them with a laminator or Minc machine - I love that I can use my Solid Foil Plate and reduce one appliance in my limited craft area!

I trimmed some white cardstock using the previously released Scallop Stitches wafer die on both sides to create a strip to add my foiled sentiment. I adhered it with tiny bits of liquid glue so it wouldn't show through the acetate - and hid it behind the foiling, not in the open areas where the words are.

I used thin foam adhesive strips around the outer edges of the die cut frame to give it a bit of dimension, and then tucked a few other tiny strategic pieces under some of the parts of the snowflakes to add stability.

Finally, I embellished with a few sparkly Glitter Drops from Pinkfresh Studio in Gold, Leaf, and Aqua - I can't get enough of these beautiful embellishments right now!

If you are looking for a bit more inspiration with this fun release - I shared this simple and elegant card a couple days ago when the release went live. You can read all the details for these cards HERE if you want more info:
