Good morning! Dropping by today to share a card I made yesterday for Pinkfresh Studio's Facebook Live. I'm usually a lover of white space, but I had tons of fun going full on bold and traditional Christmas colors for this card - AND - using a non holiday floral set to create a Christmas card as well! You can watch the replay HERE if you want to see more details.
I started off with the Rustic Floral Wreath layering stencils - this set is perfect for so many seasons, just by switching up the colors. I did some red and greens for a traditional Christmas color combo, then die cut out with the coordinating dies.
I wasn't sure if it would work, but I did end up going with colored cardstock after that as well. I used a green card base, and die cut an Ornate Banner from red cardstock. It needed something to provide some framing, so I used the Ornate Banner die again with gold mirror cardstock to create a frame around the red version. It set it off just perfectly!
The hot foiled sentiment is from Perfect Sentiments: Holiday - and while I used the regular hot foiled on on the live, I ended up switching it out with the reverse hot foiled sentiment using the Solid Hot Foil Plate. I was so much happier with that one and the extra gold pop it added!
The secondary sentiment is from Thrill of Hope stamp set, and was heat embossed in gold on the red cardstock. I was originally thinking of doing it in white embossing powder, but lately I've been kind of loving gold heat embossing on colored cardstock. I loved it on this card!
Finished off with all different sizes of Metallic Gold Pearls adhered on the centers of all the flowers to really pull all the gold accents together!
