Good morning! Dropping by today to share a card I made yesterday for Pinkfresh Studio's Facebook Live. I challenged myself to use a unique color combination for these florals - and I love how they turned out in the end! You can watch the replay HERE if you want to see more details.
I decided to use the Floral Bunch stamp set and Layering Stencils - a set that I hadn't used nearly enough, and absolutely love! And I thought it would be fun to challenge myself to ONLY use inks that were currently in stock in the Pinkfresh store - it is rather limited right now, but it was fun to stretch and try a different color combo!
Once it was all colored, I die cut it with the Coordinating Die, and it was time to start assembling the card. I used another item I hadn't used before - Simply Hexagons die - and layered it over a soft blue cardbase to coordinate and add a touch of color to the background.
For the sentiment, I used a Fancy Label Frame, and did some creative cutting to change the size of it - I stamped my sentiment, Die cut it centered toward the bottom, then carefully replaced the die over the die cut piece but lower down so it seamlessly die cut the top off to make the shape shorter. Perfect custom frame for my sentiment!
I arranged the florals so that they slightly overlapped the frame with the sentiment, then trimmed off the extra with scissors, and adhered everything with foam adhesive.
Tucked a few of the trimmed off extra florals in the top corner behind the sentiment frame, and added a few sparkly jewels to finish it off!
