Valentine in Non-traditional colors

Good morning! Just wanted to share a Valentine card I made recently with my Unity Stamps:

I saw this color combo on Pinterest and fell in LOVE with it:

Isn't it dreamy? I used Unity Stamp Companies Love you, XOXO, adore, cupid {wit and wisdom} stamp heat embossed in gold on white cardstock.

After heat embossing it, I used a paint brush and some Mister Huey's to brush in rough strokes over the embossed portion, then wiped it off the embossing. I sprayed some Smooch Spritz over the top, then added some drips in a darker shade of Heidi Swapp Color Shine, as well as some gold of the same spritzed in the corners. 

Once all that dried, I added a couple of gold sequins, some enamel dots, and some doodles with my white gel pen. Finished off by rounding a couple corners, and mounting it with foam adhesive on a soft gray cardstock base.

You have made a difference - Unity FWF

Good morning! It's FRIDAY! Yay! I'm playing along again with Unity Friends with Flair today with this card:

I also used (again with a bit of liberties!) the Unity {be inspired} Challenge sketch:

 I had an itch to make another chalkboard card, but wanted to make it a little more bright and springy - so I pulled out the fun chalkboard stack I got at Michael's a few weeks ago that has lots of fun spring tones of chalkboard paper. 

I used the January 2014 KOTM for my image and sentiment - and heat embossed them on the chalkboard paper, before adding some smudges of white pigment ink. Added some background paper from MME, placing one pattern on an angle - been loving doing that lately!

Tucked a doily behind, added a tiny Tim Holtz paper clip to the to, then tied some Hemp twine around it in a soft bow, and finished off with a few enamel dots.

PTI Anniversary Challenge #1

Since Papertrey Ink is celebrating their 7th anniversary, I didn't want to miss a chance to join in with the festivities! This is for Challenge #1:

I used the following color combo and sketch - I didn't quite get all of the colors in there, but hopefully it is close enough!

I used the Simply Jane Stamp set for my sentiment, stamped with Hero Arts ink, and the coordinating dies for my silhouettes. Added a bit of glitter cardstock, and some jute twine to finish it off.

I (LOVE) You

Hello again! Just wanted to share a fun Valentine (or just because) card for a few challenges:

I used some PTI solid cardstock, inked the edges with distress ink, and then built my sentiment stack with several different Paper Smooches Stamp sets. I did some heat embossing on the sentiments as well. Added some Bling Strips from Eyelet Outlet on the side to finish it off.

Snow Much Fun!

Good morning! I'm sharing this card over at My Craft Spot this morning:

I used a fun My Craft Spot stamp set called Think Snow - perfect for fun winter cards!

I used some solid cardstock, a Memory Box Die, and a Paper Smooches Die to create my hill scene, then added my Snowman Brads from Eyelet Outlet.

Finished off with a bit of fun washi tape along the bottom.

A Stamp It! Techniques Volume 2 Publication!

I used a Unity Stamp Co itty bitty called Candles and Cake - LOVE the subway art feel to it! I used washi tape as a mask to ink it up in all the different colors. Here it is on the page:

Hello! Just popping in with a quick entry for the current Unity {be inspired} Challenge:

This was actually one of those accidental cards - I had picked up some Memento Luxe inks and wanted to give them a try - so I grabbed a flower stamp image from the Unity November 2013 KOTM and stamped it repeatedly in the different colors of ink. Then, I though it looked kind of fun, so I fussy cut them all out, and used my Wink of Stella on the center of them - which smudged the ink just a little, and added a fun sparkle effect. I stamped my sentiment from the current January Kit of the Month on vellum, layered everything together on my cardbase, and finished off with a bit of Baker's Twine, thread, and a wood veneer that I inked with the red ink so it would coordinate. 

I used the color combo - although I notice my colors are a bit more on the bright side than the inspiration photo:

And...with a little bit of liberty, I also followed the sketch:
