Good morning! Dropping by today to share a card I made yesterday for Pinkfresh Studio's Facebook Live. I made a card with lots of hot foiling, including a background that I hot foiled, and the negative of it with the solid foil plate - all on the same card! As always with hot foil, it's hard to photograph, but I did my best for you below! And it is so pretty in real life! You can watch the replay HERE if you want to see more details.
For this week's live, I broke out my Gemini Foilpress - which I haven't used as much, but wanted to show a little more often in upcoming lives. I hot foiled the beautiful Heart Grid background, as well as the reverse image using the Solid Foil plate using Gemini Rose Gold foil. I did the same thing with my sentiment from Fancy Script Words.
Next, I die cut both panels with the largest Blanket Stitched Rectangle, and added a heart window out of the center of the solid foiled image. Love the stitching that shows on the negative space of that heart!
Next up, I broke out the fun Floral Envelope stamp set, heat embossed that in SSS Antique Gold embossing powder (which coordinated PERFECTLY with that hot foiling - just sayin'!). I used the layering stencils to add color to the flowers and bow - and even had a bit of fun shaking up the colors from what I originally had planned!
I die cut those elements with the coordinating dies, then moved on to start assembling the card. The florals tucked inside that fun little pocket on the envelope (seriously...this envelope is the CUTEST thing ever!!!). I also added the bow on there, before mounting that with more foam adhesive - including a double layer where the heart is, to keep the dimension all at the same level.
Finally, I added my hot foiled sentiment, as well as a secondary sentiment that I heat embossed from the Floral Envelope stamp set in the same Antique Gold only on a strip of black cardstock. Finished off witha few Metallic Matte Gold Pearls in tiny rows on the envelope!
Love how glamorous and fancy this card is - something about all that gold makes it feel super luxurious and elegant!
