Bougainvillea Hello - Pinkfresh Studio Facebook Live Cards

Good morning! Dropping by today to share a card (and a bonus card!) I made last week for Pinkfresh Studio's Facebook Live. I did some hot foiling on a soft colored cardstock, ink blending over the top, and then at the end took the reverse foiled image and created a simple bonus card with it! As always with hot foil, it's hard to photograph (mostly that second card), but I did my best for you below! And it is so pretty in real life! You can watch the replay HERE if you want to see more details.

I used the beautiful Bougainvillea hot foil plate and coordinating stencils. I hot foiled onto a soft peach cardstock instead of white, and used Pewter hot foil - a new to me color. I loved that it was kind of in between gold and silver - and a bit more neutral.

I did a bit of masking to ink blend in different tones on the florals. I used kind of a different color combo for this - and blending it over colored cardstock made it even more unique!

Once the ink blending was complete, I die cut the panel out with the largest Diagonal Stitched Rectangle, and mounted it with foam adhesive on a gray cardbase, to coordinate with the gray of the greenery on the stencils.

Sentiment was created with a die cut word from Scripted Sentiments, and a simple stamped sentiment from Simply Sentiments: Hello, trimmed into a banner shape. Both mounted with foam adhesive, of course!

Finishing touch was some coordinating sparkle from the Essentials: Crystal Mix. Love how the colors matched so perfectly!

And then...since we had just a few minutes to spare, I decided to grab that reverse foil piece that we created earlier in the live with the Solid Hot Foil plate, and create a simple card with it as well! This much foil is so hard to photograph - this first photo probably captures it best:

I trimmed the panel down and adhered it onto a white cardbase, then created a focal point frame for the front using the smaller of the Stitched Scallop Rectangles - die cut once from white cardstock, and once from red.

I mounted both pieces of the white frame with foam adhesive, then mounted the outer red one with more foam adhesive. The extra dimension is super fun!

I added a very similar sentiment to the first card, just a different secondary sentiment for that one. I used a double layer of foam for those, so that they would pop up enough from the background.

I wasn't planning to add any more embellishments - since that foil was so super shiny and pretty - but after the live finished, I started playing around with some of the red crystals from the Crystals Mix, and ended up adding a few of those tucked on the white scallops. I love what that added to the finished card - it was just what it needed!
