August 2016 Favorites

Good morning! Last year I had so much fun looking back over the past year and sharing a recap of my favorites from each month, that I thought I would go ahead and do it again! It's so fun to see how my style has changed or sometimes stayed the same throughout the year and to be reminded of techniques I haven't tried in a while either.

In August 2015, I had 33 posts just on this blog, and every month I had posts on other Design Team blogs!

July 2016 Favorites

Good morning! Last year I had so much fun looking back over the past year and sharing a recap of my favorites from each month, that I thought I would go ahead and do it again! In July 2015, I had 26 posts just on this blog, and every month I had posts on other Design Team blogs! This was my smallest month - we were gone camping a lot this particular month!

Reverse Confetti SFYTT - Sunrise and Sunset

Good morning! Stopping by with a card this morning for the brand new Reverse Confetti SFYTT (stands for Sketch For You To Try) - I hope you'll come play along with us!

I actually pulled out the beautiful plaid pattern paper from Warm Hearts 6x6 paper pad for my starting inspiration - then built my card around that using the sketch.

I added a sentiment from Forever in Our Hearts stamped in Stone Dye Ink on a rectangle cut with Lacy Scallop Frames. I then stamped an additional part of the sentiment from the same stamp set on a banner cut from Baby Blue Cardstock using Greetings Frame Confetti Cuts and heat embossed that in white. Finished off with a panel of Mist Cardstock that I stenciled some texture on using Mist Dye Ink and Lotsa Dots Stencil.
